About Sharing Love & Hope

January 2022 was the start of Sharing Love and Hope. Because of health issues, our founders, Keith & Lois, needed to sell their business. In search of something to do in retirement, Lois started to sew items for the local infusion centers and donate them in honor of her sister, Shar, who passed away from breast cancer in 2019. Shar and her husband gave to others and showed so much love. So, it was decided that “Sharing Love and Hope” would be an appropriate name for their outreach, in honor of her. After blessing those infusion centers Keith & Lois spread their sewing donations to others in need. They also started to pack food and hygiene bags for people who are homeless. After working, packing and sewing in their sun porch for two years, Keith & Lois’ ministry outgrew the space. Their church decided to rent a space in Alexandria to help them expand their ministry. Since moving into that space in February of 2024, Sharing Love and Hope has become a community outreach and has expanded to meet other areas of need.

Outreach Expands

What began with sewing quickly grew. Keith and Lois expanded their efforts to serve others in need by packing food and hygiene bags for individuals experiencing homelessness, all while working from their sun porch at home.

A New Space in Alexandria

As the ministry continued to grow, their home space was no longer sufficient. With the support of their church, Sharing Love and Hope moved into a dedicated space in Alexandria, allowing the ministry to expand its reach and impact.
